This another thing from one of those afternoon english tutorials.

- Section 1: Short Answers (Average mark is 11 out of 15)
- Section 2: Creative Writing
- Section 3: Essay
- If the question asks about belonging, you can write about "not belonging" also
- Think about the context BUT DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS (LOL the youi ad with the three fat guys) and do not answer outside the scope
(e.g. you may have read the book or the extract before but do not use information that is not available in the given stimulus/i)
- Common themes: Identity, Relationships, Acceptance and Understanding
- Do not spend to much time on 1 markers, only 1-2 sentences maximum.
- 1 markers - 1-2 sentences - Answer usually obvious, and u can get the mark with just one word. MAD -_-
- 2 markers - 3-5 sentences
- 3 markers - o.5 - 1 page - 3 aspects, 3 techniques
- 4 markers - 1-1.5 pages
- 5/6 markers - 2 exam pages - must include Introduction (with thesis of course), Body Paragraphs, and a Conclusion
- Do not spend too much time (i hour maximum) on the Section 3 essay
-Practice doing timed papers
- Always be aware of time
- Clearly label Question
- Lines between answers
- Compare: Similarity and Differences (Use linking words)
REMEMBER, IT'S ALL ABOUT BELONGING. even if it looks like it's about toilets, it always relate to belonging somehow.
